The new TA
Re: The new TA
None of those knock my socks off enough to think that GM should consider building them.
I would like to see a Firebird return, but it needs to be distinct from Camaro in more than just skin.
I honestly don't know why they did that again with the Solstice and Sky.

Don't believe everything you read in magazines...
...especially magazines that cater to a particular brand. News (even made up)= sales.
This horse has been beaten to a liquid pulp on this site.
Do a search.
You're new around here, so I'll spare you.

This comes directly from Pontiac's General Manager (both the former and the current one), & the Product Chairman of General Motors.
Before you start bellyaching about it or "how you would buy one in a second..." or "how GM is turning it's backs on the 'billions and gazillions' of Firebird fans" or "how you'll never buy another Pontiac, or another GM product" or "how you won't even live in the same hemisphere with the people who decided this", or any of the other things that's been posted here everytime the subject comes up, or before you accuse me of not being a Firebird Trans Am fan, like I told Archangel, do a search.
Every reason why GM isn't bringing back the Firebird, and why the Trans Am name is dead on a future GM product has been posted here before... in detail.... many, many times.

If "German Engineering" is so great, why did we kick their collective ***** a few decades ago?! Well.... OK maybe a little over 50 years ago, but who's counting....
I always liked the Firebird, but I hope they let it rest in peace. I would buy a 5 seater GTO with Camaro performance..... hell I'd trade my SS for one in a heartbeat. I can't say that for the new Camaro....
With dedication to product, Pontiac could kill all comers- just not with a TA that would be redundant for the overall GM product line (with the Camaro out there)- Just like it was when it was still on the market.... sorry!

Comparing something that happened 61 years ago vs today's BMW??

BTW, FWIW, historically, the Russian winter (when Hitler overextended his troops) Stalin's willingness to use his own army as cannon fodder, and Roosevelt armming Britain before we got into the war layed the groundwork for us... "kicking *****"... of Germany. If Britain had fallen before December 1941, or if Hitler honored his treaty with Stalin and didn't invade Russia, history today would have been very different.
