That reminded me...I was going to ask someone about the connections for the subwoofer on the BA amplifier. Is the connection an RCA type, wired with some kind of quik connect into the system, etc.?

Dude, I was wondering if anyone would notice that.
I heard the Camaro was reverse engineered from an alien craft.
Actually it was a temporary bank till a near by bank was being built.
The township bought it to use as a play place for kids, but ended up being a storage shed.
I've heard they were sold as vacation cottages.

I would assume that since the subwoofer is ment to go in the trunk there is probably a connector back there.
I'll look when I get a chance, I don't remember seeing it in the manual.

Me too, that would be too easy. I'd like a set of subs, but I can do better than $1000. My money would be on a wiring harness already in the trunk to make for an easier dealer install, but I've never had a factory system like this.

First Car Show

I went to my first cruise night with the Camaro tonight.
I had a blast. It was the star of the show, everyone came over and looked.
It was funny, you guy know everything about these cars but most people at the show didn't.
Some of the questions:
Hot rod guy "what's it got, like 300hp?"
Corvette Guy "it was only $35000 and that's an LS3?"
Young guy "They're cool, I'm going to get one too when they come out next year" Me "they are coming out now" Young guy "well then why do they call it a 2010?"
The only question I couldn't answer was what is the rear gear ratio.
Several people asked me that.
But for the most part people were really nice and were all over it all evening.

And then afterwards what a beautiful ride home in the dark.
It the first time I had the car out at night.
First off, when you hit the unlock button on the key fob the halos blink and then the halos and headlight come on.
Then when you open the door the ambient lighting in the doors and all the backdrop lighting in the dash glow a soft blue.
Then get in and start the car and all the rest of the dash lights up.
It was all the way up and it was a little too bright for me to drive.
But dim the dash lights a little and it was perfect.
The ambient lights in the doors dim with the dash lights.
I got out on the highway, set the cruise to 70 and turned on the satellite radio. And had a nice cruise home.
Seems to me the average fuel mileage starts off at 19mpg which is average.
Then as you drive the car the mpg changes as per your driving.
I was doing all city stop and go driving so my average was down to 16.5mpg at one point. Since this trip it has gone back up to 19.5.
I now have 200 miles on the car and enjoying every minute of it.
I'm used to the visibility already and I'm shifting better.
I have a regular car show to go to tomorrow.
Who knows maybe the Camaro will pull it's first trophy!!

Are the fog lamps DRL's only on the RS package? Everything I've read says that DRL replaces the fog lamps when the RS package is selected, but I was hoping you would be able to turn them on in addition to the HID's. Do they work at all with the headlights on?

As far as I can tell they are only DRLs.
But don't worry, the HIDs are plenty bright, no need for extra fog lights.
I was kinda hoping I could turn them on also though, just for looks.

Welp, no first trophy today.
It was a really nice show with a lot of cars.
There were every generation of Camaro and even in red.
Unfortunetly I couldn't talk them into taking a picture together.
Maybe we'll try again at Carlisle.
As it turned out I hardly even got a good shot of my car.
Too many people around it.

I had to laugh at a couple of guys who came up to me.
They thought I was a car dealer and were pissed that I brough my car to the show.
I think they were dealers and though I brought a dealer car to a show in their area.
One guy calmed down and said he was a dealer and hadn't gotten any Camaros at his dealership and was told he wouldn't until May.
The other guy was still mad, told me my dealer shouldn't have been allowed to sell it to me yet.
Here's some the other Camaros at the show.

We were both waiting for our other club members to arrive so I snaped the picture.
I wish my top folded down like his though!

Hey, I just noticed he didn't have a front plate on his truck either.

Wow! I'm having second thoughts on my color choices. That beige interior looks awesome with the victory red exterior. Congrats on your new Camaro!
