you should work on a license plate bracket that screws in from underneath the bumper cover and bends up at 90 degrees. I built one like that for my 84 T/A and use wingnuts to hold it in from underneath... remove the 4 wingnuts by hand and you'd never know a plate was on there. perfect for shows and general picture taking.

did you order the short throw shifter option? or is that the regular shifter in it now?

i made it very clear to my dealersip, no matter how illegal it is. i am not putting a front liscence plate on my car. ill take the chance of getting pulled over. i dont want holes in my bumper.

I've never ran a front plate and I lived in NJ for a few years. Just keep it off until you get pulled over the first time.

I never had one on my '98 SS when I use to live in NY for many years. I am so glad that there are no front plates here in NC!

Thanks for the ideas on the bracket.
I will definetly mount the plate, but an aftermarket one might look better.
You do have to drill holes for the plate that came with it.

I like the power retracting plate idea, it's a little pricy.

That is the standard shifter.
I honestly don't see much need for the short throw shifter.
Maybe I would if I raced the car.

My car will remain pretty much stock for a while.
I'm having so much fun driving it right now and it is so much faster than any car I've ever driven.
I've only listened to the radio once to make sure it works!

I assume you are going to Carlisle? I'll stop by to say hi. You should be easy to spot.

Im not sure how you would put a hide-a-way license plate on the back of this car...what would it do flip into the bumper? Then it would look weird with an area for a plate and no plate. Either way there's a kit in the street rod world that retracts...

There are 3 steps on the headlight switch; auto, parking, headlight.
Automatic the daylight running lights (fog lights) are on in daytime and the headlights and halos are on at night.
In parking mode the halos are on.
And in headlight mode the hologen headlights are on, along with the halos.
I haven't figured out how to turn the fog lights on with the headlights.
The manual says to push the headlight switch, but I think that only works for the non-RS cars.

Yeah, I'll be at Carlisle.
My favorite show, I've been there every year except the first.
This will be my first year with a Camaro, I had a Caprice wagon in years past.

Imagine when you get pulled over for no front plate. The Officer approaches your window from behind and tell's you why he pulled you over. But Officer... (looking incredulous) I DO have a front licence plate... ROFLMFAO

just an FYI, i went to that link and they have a non-motorized version for $60 rather than $180 for the motorized version.

yeah, it would flip into the bumper. ive seen some cars with it and it is slick. good for those traffic cameras. its finished on the opposite side so it looks like it is painted the same as the car.
