Milage question

I am thinking of ordering an SS, but had a question that i did see on here. What amount of miles should i expect when i turn the key on my new Camaro at the dealership. I know that it is moved a bit at the assembly plant and rail yards, but what should be expected. Last thing i want is some sales person or mechanic or something taking my new camaro on a top speed run before i take delivery. I know that most dealers would not do this, but unfortunatly i had a good friend that this had happened to a few years back, the lucky thing was that he witnessed the end of the joyride when he was coming to pick it up.

i wouldnt expect more than 10 miles on it. maybe 5-10. i would be whooping some butt if i found out that someone, was not only sitting, but driving my car around. thats my biggest fear with this car. ive waited so long for a brand new ordered car. now i did it and i wouldnt want anyone to ruin that for me.

Being a dealer.....the vehicles come from the factory with 1-2 miles on them. Unless they get a quality inspection then 6-10. The dealership is required to put 4 miles on in the PDI. So anywhere from 6-14 miles would be acceptable.

Thank you for that information, i am a bit currious now, is the reason that the dealer puts 4 miles on it just to road test to make sure of no issues?
