Jeremy never drives with a lot of throttle control... the whole "POWERRRR!" thing is part of his character.

I think he is entertaining even though he says all sorts of outlandish exaggerations.

As far as the Ford GT, he actually bought it twice. The first time around Ford gave him a refund because they could not fix problems with the vehicles electrical system, specifically the antitheft system and vehicle immobilizer... but later he bought the car back after polling fans about which car he should buy.

I like clarkson though I disagree with his views for the most part. I like him primarily because when he can fit in a car, it means I can fit in the car.
The one in the show I like the most is Hammond, though the size thing prevents me from trusting his opinion on the roominess of vehicles.

 

On "dry" tires, as well.

Top Gear has realized that driving in "drift" mode makes for more exciting TV.
