I would have a prickly disposition too if it was always overcast and either raining, misting or about to rain. I mean really does the sun ever shine there??

 

surpeisingly, he isnt a very good track driver. i have seen many episodes where he drives around race tracks trying to get the best times, and hes just doesnt know much about racing a car and the driving line.
every other episode you see on top gear, they are drifting the car freely around the course, yet on this one he was trying not to drift...in the rain, going quickly, around the track..... he confuses me.

 

He isnt a bad driver. He did well in that 24 hour race they were in, and does ok in the race at the end of this DVD.

 

I don't think Clarkson (aka The Douche) has a grasp on the concept of driving in the rain. Not many cars handle well on a wet track.

So, The Douche has come up w/ an opinion of the new Camaro by:

1. Driving in the rain
2. Driving a car he's never driven before.
3. Driving on a track he's never driven on before.
4. Stereotyping American muscle cars.
5. Overall, being a mediocre driver at best.
6. Last, but not least, he's a douche.

So, do you have any respect for his opinion on the new Camaro? I don't.

 

I can drive a Ferrari poorly and blame it on the car as well. People do it all the time.

I do love watching his shows, though. The "Reliant Robin" episode is hilarious.

 

if your a good driver you will drive the ferarri just fine and learn the car after a few laps. i never drove a acura tsx before. drove it on the mid ohio track like it was a race car after a few laps. got very comfortable with the car. it doesnt takel ong for people to get used to a car. especially if they are a good racer.

 

Easy guys, don't take it so personally. It's all part of his schtick.

BTW, I'd say that it does take some car control skills to drift a 426 hp car around a track in the rain.

 

Spot on. He's an awesome show host.

 

While I like the show his anti-american attitude does get on my nerves. The episode with the GT500 really was a joke when they try to rag on the car because it only made 470 or something hp to the rear wheels and say it was false advertising. I hope it was an attempt at humor because they have to know better than to think manufacterers rate the cars at the rear wheels.

Actually its hard to find a car that he doesn't have something to complain about.

 

well... that is part of his stichk too... bashing on us here in the Colonies.

in the Reliant Robin episode, he compared that to the Corvette as being... one of two mass produced plastic vehicles.

 

He did say a lot of nice things about the ZR1 when he tested it in the US and while his review wasn't as glossy when he tested it against the Audi R8 he did say it was the better buy.

He liked the Ford GT enough to buy one. Although it took a long time to get it and when he did there were some problems.

 

And considering he was, like an idiot, driving the dry line. lol
