Re: have you guys seen this...
Understandable he doesnt like the car but not seeing any Camaro in it? C'mon.....
Once again another armchair journalist using his dislike for the car as a basis for an article. No big deal guys, the heavy hitters, even the domestic haters in Detroit, praised the car for all its worth.

The Camaro looks like something Will Smith would drive in a movie.
Re: have you guys seen this...
my email to them,
Joe Wiesenfelder's report on the Camaro Concept was.... well for a lack of a more accurate word, stupid. I for one, am a fan of cars and motorcycles, as well as they look nice, drive nice and are relatively fast. I have never been a big fan of the Camaro, it just seemed cheaply made. I was then never a fan of Chevy, due to the same reason. Then I got married and my wife and I bought a decent used 03 Malibu in 03. We put 50k miles on it and the check engine came on once, because my wife forgot to tighten the gas cap after filling up. It did not require expensive maintenance, and faithfully did its job without so much as a bulb burning out. As someone who worked at a Volkswagen dealership, I know that regular maintenance can run a pretty large amoutn of money. We then traded up to a 04 Envoy 6cyl 4wd. We encountered the same. Not a single problem. We then decided to upgrade and were looking to trade up to a new Tahoe. But the only tahoe we could afford was 2wd, and in Chicago, a 2wd truck is as useful as a motorcycle in the winter. So we ended up with a beautiful 05 Dodge Durango Hemi. Now we have experienced the truck not starting, the lights all coming on and going off, the air bag lights all being activated, the car stalling and dying when turning at low speeds, interior trim pieces falling off, the stereo not working, etc. And it now has about 13k miles. As a designer, the guy is way off the mark. The Camaro blends old and new. Yes it is a little too retro to me, but he favors the Dodge show car over the camaro? I guess he is letting his past visions of camaros tint his vision. The new camaro is slated to be offered with 4 wheel independent suspension. This alone puts it past the Mustang. The quality GM has provided recently, ensures the Camaro will have great quality. I know of several new mustang owners very upset about some problems and how they have been handled (or not). I think this guy should not write about something unless he has the capability to have an open mind. Obviously he does not. I blatantly disliked the 4th generation of Camaros. Thats because I drove several and was overly unimpressed. Yet after driving and owning several other GM products since then, I know they have the ability to offer something great in the new camaro.

Well, for one, F-22's are Air Force, pretty sure none are launching from any aircraft carriers.
Two, as was stated, Challenger belle of the show? What planet is he from? He clearly wasn't there on Jan 9 and I'm doubtful he was there at all.
He goes on and on about the big brakes as if it is a negative....like the car has to have them to stop its massive bulk in any reasonable distance.
Looks like the Mustang....we've been over that. This guy's just flat out wrong.
No chance for production? That should tell everyone that spends any time here exactly how much that guy knows about the subject. Nada...
I agree the prejudice against Camaro is sophomoric and has no place in a supposedly "professional" review. But then again the internet can make a professional out of any assclown with a DSL line....I'm proof of that, LOL.

Otherwise, the article was hogwash.
