Bad move for Chevy to benchmark the Mustang now. I caution GM as a whole, DO NOT bench mark the current Mustang, or any car currently on the market because by the time we see the car thats in development now, it will be 4 years till we see it.
I would be very upset to see by 2009, the Camaro to have less hp then a V6 Camry.

I wouldn't spend two seconds worrying about that.

Yeah, two totally different cars / markets. 2-door sports coupe vs. 4-door family sedan. Even with less HP, the Camaro would still be a better "performing" car than a Camry. And besides, they would never be compared head-to-head, and no buyer interested in one would consider the other.

Don't be surprised to see the RWD Impala, Caddillac,Buick, Pontiac G8 Join the Oshawa Flex . HOME of the Camaro. The Convertible will be released seven months after the hardtop. The last Impala to roll off Plant #2 is Nov 30/07. CONVERTION to the Flex assembly is 10 months. $740 Million will be spent to convert the Plant to a state of the art flexible manufacturing facility. GMS is underway throught the plant.

Cadillacs at Oshawa? Wonder what the Lansing Grand River guys would have to say about that.

How about a GTO?

If the plant is already setup to build Zeta cars, it only makes sense, doesn't it?? That is, "assuming" there is a GTO in the works .

I dont care about that. I care about V6 Camaros getting smoked by V6 Camry's at stop lights. I dont care if they are in the same market or not, you just dont bring out a sports car with less hp then a familiy sedan.

As for not worrying about it, Im not, just stating.
