guess I was hoping for something a little more flashy

it seems like they gave it an emblem, bumper slit, and the regular camaro wheel upgrade

I hope that there is more to it than that

Looks like the same silver SS but non-RS 5th gen we've seen in the photoshoot from this board, the pic with Fergie and what will be used in "My Own Worst Enemy."

Definitely not a flattering image. That color doesn't help either.

Way too plain and way too much like the V6, Z28 anyone? This is almost the same mistake they made with the 4th Gen.

Well, there are a few subtle differences like they pointed out on GMI... There's an extra body line just below the side marker light and the front lip is more pronounced...

I dont think the silver color looks good on this car or the concept. I think the RS lights would look soo much better on the SS just judging by the V6 pics. I like the SS alot. I think it would look much better in black with the RS headlights and in Impereal Blue or Black. Id have to see them in person. Ive always liked blue on cool cars.

EDITED because I just couldnt help throwing the concept in for comparison with that angle...

I can honestly say that this picture looks awesome. I had my doubts but they are all but washed away. I didn't think it was possible but from this angle I actually think the productions car looks better than the concept. Did they make the lower grill a little smaller or is that the angle? I have to agree that the car would look much better in black with RS trim.

GM is making a big mistake by not differentiating the 6 and the 8. Now most of us being Camaro enthusiasts aren't all into the flash but the avg Joe out there wan't people to know he has something special and little dinky badges aren't gonna make it. GM needs to make the SS more pronounced so you don't drive up behind the guy and wonder if it's a V6 or V8. The SS should be in the center of the grill and larger, plus more different body panels or something.

100% disagree. If the "average Joe" wants flashy badges and stripes, then either the "average Joe" is going to accessorize his Camaro, or he isn't going to buy one.

I like the minute, yet subtle differences. Ever hear of the term "sleeper"?

Yeah I think I know what the term sleeper is, look at my username. I wasn't talking about me or the Camaro guy on this board, i was talking about the avg idiot out there that's gonna spend the coin to be seen in an SS and people are gonna be asking him all the time if it is a V6.

Too plain?!?!??? WTF are you guys smoking, it looks just like the concept. Cobalt SS is plain, Camaro SS is not.

We haven't even seen the base V6 Camaro yet, only the RS package which is available on both the V6 and V8.

Sounds like you care more about show than go. Wait for the SEMA Camaros.
