Delco ERS anyone?

Really though...I'm hoping for a very basic 4-speaker system so I can put my own stuff in.

And PLEASE, GM, NO tape decks! Tapes are dead!

I've only added a sound system to one vehicle in my life.

My Extended Cab 2000 S10 Xtreme. New headunit (which is the only thing I'd do to any car now), 10 disc CD changer and this custom made subwoofer box that sat over the CD changer with only the face of it showing for ease of use-

Though I think I outgrew wanting so much boom boom. LOL

Whole system cost me like $5000. Whole sub/amp setup was Orion Xtreme (of course). LOL

Why are half the people in this thread talking about the transmission? And why is this thread in the powertrain discussion?

The Bose in my Vette was pretty decent. The Bose in my Camaro was kinda 2nd rate. I'm hoping they don't hold back on the 5th gen....

Even if the head unit has factory multiplex integration, you can still upgrade the stereo by adding amps with line level inputs and high quality factory size speakers (like Boston Accoustic, Alpine, or Eclipse), and even an amped sub. You can keep the factory look in the dash, no cutting or whacking, and you will keep your steering wheel controls too.

There will be a base unit offered, and of course a high end system with all the bells and whistles like Bluetooth, XM and Nav. Maybe even something inbetween.

I hope the higher end system (assuming options) is sufficient enough; if not, I hope a base system is easy to mess with... Either way, I would prefer the stock system to be enough because I'd rather not dump money into that since I RARELY use my current system anyway... the only thing I would do is add another amped sub in the trunk in a box that can easily be taken out when I don't want it...

Thumbs down 09 Camaro?

Is the new Camaro going to be a Front wheel Drive? Since it is going to share the same platform as several other FRONT WHEEL DRIVE cars , does anyone know? 93Z Ted

I also hope that they revise the stereo in the concept. The production car's stereo should be setup in a manner that will allow aftermarket upgrades.

I don't know where you heard that, but the Camaro will be built on a variation of GM's "Global Rear-drive Platform". What front-drive cars are you referring to?

Boston Acoustic has been mentioned as a possible system.
