They already make one in plain black. The chances of our version being black are pretty good, but it certainly won't be plain black, that is for sure!

Will you announce the pre-ordering in this thread or make a whole new one??
It will be quite noticeable. It will be a new thread as well as this thread, plus I will make a page for it with all the info on how to order. Plus a LOT more. This won't be easy to miss so you don't have any worries.

You might already know this, but this isn't going to be a "Hot Wheel" (by Mattel) but a car made by Greenlight toys. This is more detailed but also doesn't have mirrors. I think that mirrors are just too darned small at this scale to look decent.

Our packaging will be different than shown in the links above, but we will make it cool nonetheless.

Thank you for the heads up Jason. I will have to set up the Google account tommorow when I get some free time. Do you have any idea how much these cars will sell for? Also, is the Google account the only means of payment or is Paypal a possibility?

It is pretty simple, just go to http://checkout.google.com.

Not concrete yet, but we are trying to stick to what I posted in the 1st thread...

PayPal is expected to be an option as well, but having used Google Checkout, I personally prefer that and suggest that everyone get an account because of how simple they made it...especially if you want to use a credit card.

Dave, I would love to, but there is no list. A list would be a nightmare to keep track of. As mentioned above, the pre-ordering will be a first come, first served deal. I am sure you won't have a problem, though. I will be updating this thread, and I will try to give everyone a fair warning ahead of time here at the very least.

Just to clarify, in one of my previous posts, it was "unofficially" official but as of today, it is "officially official"! This is a 100% go!

For the past week I have been working on the design of the backer board and the design of the car itself. I really think everyone is going to like it. I expect to have a mock-up sometime just after this coming weekend, along with complete info and a pre-order page. Production will start near the end of this month with delivery expected in late June. I want to give everyone a fair warning that there will be a cool incentive to a few lucky people who pre-order. More details to come, but stay tuned to this thread!

I gotta tell ya, folks...I am VERY excited about this!

Any chance paypal can be an accepted form of payment? I don't want to sign up for google checkout for a 1-time payment. I would assume more of us here have paypal than google checkout... right?

I just signed up for the Google checkout. I'm hoping to be one of the lucky few to get one of the early bird incentives.

Same goes for me. I'd rather not have another credit card # floating around out there.

Yes, PayPal will be the other online option. I prefer that Google Checkout because it is just a simpler and more streamlined way to go, but that is just my opinion. I know there are some people who do not like to use PayPal, so there will be the option for both!

I used it a LOT over the Holidays, I like how it works...but I digress...

That is totally understandable, but for the record, Google typically knows what they are doing when it comes to...just about everything they do. Again, just my opinion.

Any other questions? Fire them at me.

How/when do I preorder and what color have you decided on? Are you getting to choose the interior color as well?

For this one...Black...with "accents". Think traditional...but somewhat recent... No more hints...for now!

The packaging will be unmistakably related to this site. You won't be disappointed!

If this goes as well as I expect it to, this won't be the first.

Wish I could but all their 1/64 scale 2009 Camaros have a flat black interior. it is pretty small in there, so details are limited. Go to your local Target or Wal-Mart or whatever and take a look at what is on the shelves if you haven't seen one already. Buy me a black one for me while you are at it, I had to sacrifice one of mine to take some measurements.

I speculate that there will be the possibilities for a larger versions in the future, though.
