Camaro SS sedan
Here's a fast way to start a flame war.
Camaro SS Sedan as speculated by Edmunds.com

This is probably nothing more than wishful thinking, but the G8 is too great of a car to let die. Maybe it should be an Impala SS?

As far as names...Camaro? No.
The following, yes...
Impala
Chevelle
Caprice
....hell...even call it a Biscayne for all I care...
But NOT Camaro, and I don't expect there to ever be a 4-door Camaro so thankfully not all dreams (or nightmares) come true.

If you're listening GM, DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT repeat the GTO mistake and call the G8 a Chevelle. Like the GTO there is way too much emotional bagadge tied to the name. I agree with the other posters, the G8 is too nice of car to let die and should be brought under the Chevrolet umbrella of cars.

Personally, I don't see what is wrong with Lumina, since it is already sold as such in the Middle East.
You're acting like Chevelle was never a 4-door sedan or a station wagon... which it was. GTO, I agree with since it was always a two-door, but Chevelle does not hold the same distinction.

The new GTO was so very close to the original DNA of a GTO it was scary, and yet people made up any reason in the world to hate it. For example, I have heard MANY times, that the original GTO looked nothing like anything else Pontiac made at the time. How is that possible when it was a Tempest/Lemans to begin with? Again, reality and memory are two very different things...
If I was someone making decisions at GM, I wouldn't risk a failure to launch on something like the name...

It would make a good next generation Impala. I would hate to see the G8 fade away. That car never got enough exposure to let the general car buying public know it even existed. I would not mind having a G8.
