I'm getting the runaround. The "insider" that told me is a friend in radio here in town. He just cut a commercial for the dealer and the script says the Daytona Pace car will be at the dealer. The dealer on the other hand (at least the receptionist) doesn't know anything about it. She said she would check into it and let me know. It might be a hush hush kind of thing until they actually have it in house.

 

why would they advertise it on the radio if they dont want anyone to know about it?

 

I feel like dope waiting this long to ask but when did they announce what last years pace car was?

 

The commercial won't start until this weekend or early next week.

I called the dealer again yesterday. A different person told me that IF the Camaro Pace Car was going to be there, then It would be on Saturday (today) as the radio station that my friend works for will be doing a remote there. And she said that if you test drive a car they will give you Daytona 500 tickets. Sounds like today could be the day. I'm just going to go there with my camera. Cross your fingers.
