5th Gen & 4th Gen Side by Side Shots

Well, my car show was blessed to have things fall into place to be able to have the 5th gen Convertible and the 5th gen Silver Coupe (As well as the Cadillac Sixteen) at our car show. I was able to grab a few pics with my car next to it.

I'm not sure if there's ever been any pictures of the 5th gen right next to a 4th gen, and I honestly always thought the 5th gen was larger than the 4th gen, but looking at the pictures the headlights are almost identical height and the car's stance is dead on with the 4th gen.

Anyway, here's the pics:

Man, you really do take some awesome pictures of cars!!

Looking good!! Funny, in the last picture you can really tell just how BIG the rims are on the concept, compared to those on your car!!

Haha, yeah mine are 17" rims. Comparing the hood's slope, the hood's height at the windshield almost looks to be about the same (give or take a few inches). The 4th gen's "cheese wedge" slopes more than the 5th gen, of course, but it's really not that big of a difference.

Overall, to those that say the 5th gen is too different than the 4th, IMO these two cars are a nice progression with cues from the 1st-3rd gens as well.

Their size looks extremely similar. So why all the hoopla about it being big? Personally I think it's perfect.

The fifth gen actually looks a little smaller in those pics than the fourth gen. Either way, I like it.

i was lucky enough to be there that day as well. I didnt get to put my car directly next to it, but i did get to pull it up and take some pictures.

whoever made the size comparison is absolutely right. i actually think the 4th gens are bigger now that ive seen them together. I would have never thought that before.

this was probably my favorite pic

Ok Scott, I think it's about time that the coupe, convertible or even one of the Bumblebee cars makes it down south.......anyone else think so?

Well, they were in Atlanta just recently for the F-body gathering. Last year, before the 'vert hit the show circuits, the silver coupe was on the Hot Rod Power Tour. Stops from Orlando to New Jersey. They were in Columbia SC for one of the days. I don't remember any other stops.

I still like the early 4th gens better... but WOW, didn't know the 5th gens would look that normal next to a 4th. Put some 17 inch wheels on one and it might start to look like a low slung, sleek car.

Thanks for sharing the pics guys. As usual, the 5th gens really don't look that great in pics, but in person they are real show stoppers. Not very photogenic cars like the 4th gens unfortunately.

I suppose if someone felt that the 4th gen was the "perfect" size, then there should be no hoopla regarding the production 5th gen being big.
