Unhappy Sensitive window switches

The express up / down window switch is maddening , I hope they can come up with a different idea . You can't lower or raise it to an exact spot .You have to hit the switch twice to stop the window , maybe its me but I'm not thinking so .

I was looking at one a week or so ago and one of the things I was playing with was window motor speed. I didn't have any problem with it, but I seem to remember not having to press very hard to actuate the switch...unless I'm getting senile....I could almost swear I just let off the switch to stop it unless I purposefully hit express. Make sure you're not pressing hard enough to skip right past the first position on the switch. There should be two positions in both directions.

It's very sensitive, but I'm getting a little more used to it.

Here's another annoying little thing.
If you try to open either door before you turn the car off you have to pull the door handle twice. Once to unlock the doors and the second to open the door.
If you turn off the car first or hit the unlock button then you only have to pull the handle once like normal.

Neither of these are annoying enough to take away how awsome this car is!!

In every car I've driven, you can pull the handle an infinate number of times with the doors locked and it won't open.... two times is a significant reduction

I never noticed...is there a manual lock switch on the doors or do you have to lock them electrically only? I noticed the double pull thing in the manual online, but never thought that it might be because there might not be a separate manual lock switch.

As for the windows you'll get used to it. All cars that I know of with express up and down windows operate this way. Express up AND down is such a great feature I really have not noticed your issue.

As for the double pull door handles, it has been on Ford products for years. If you have an auto the doors unlock in park. So you either unlock electically with the central lock butto, put the car in park or use the double pull. Once you get used to the double pull, you should find it a handy convenience. Especially on the manual trans car.

EDIT:

Sorry I was on my iphone for the above. For express down and up, push the switch all the way down to engage express down then just fully depress the switch again and it will stop exactly where you want.

For up, just pull the switch to initiate the express up and pull it again fully to stop the window exactly where you want.

It works pretty well.

ok...

i don't know about this guys... but if you PULL the button all the way up it does the auto up but if you pull the button up half way... it does up until you let go...

same thing when pressing down.. i will double check but i think that's the way it works..

same thing with your blinkers... if you do left but not all the way it blinks 3 times.. but if you do it all way it just blinks away..
