Is the Front Bowtie Easily Removable?

I was just looking at some of the photoshops in the gallery and believe that the front would look 10X more menacing (and cleaner) without that golden bowtie. To those of you who have actually been fortunate enough to get up close and personal with the preproduction models, is the bowtie just clipped on/screwed on? How is it attached to the grill? I'm thinking my first mod will be the !bowtie!

Seems I recall seeing a close up grill with the bowtie removed, so it is removable (at least on the pre-production models). There is an indentation in the gril where it mounts, so you'll have to deal with that if removed. I'm sure that the aftermarket will produce something to replace it.

the bowtie itself is just double sided taped inside a little metal frame. the metal frame is double sided taped onto a plastic piece that is attached the grill.
i'm sure aftermarket companies like this http://grafxwerks.com/ will make different color bowties and ss badging for the camaro. i went with carbon fiber badges on my black 06 monte ss and it looks so much better than that nasty gold.

Shouldn't be too hard. Just make sure the structure behind whatever you're putting on matches up with the indentations and cross shape. Or they might even make an insert for those that don't want anything there.
