Production Interior???

We've all seen the official prodcution car pics. We've read all of the specs, but why has there been no real info on the interior??? We all saw the ignition video. The red LED light looked great on the cartoon cars interior, but we have yet to see what it looks like in reality. How about the stereo system? Will we get Bose, Boston Acoustics, etc??? What about the interior materials, finishes. I want to see what the inside of my Camaro is going to look like.

9 speaker Boston Acoustics standard is what I read on the release. Maybe it was 8 speakers plus sub with extra money.

Also, there are pics out there of the interior lit up. It's a light blue in all trims except the orange cars (with leather package?), which get it lit in orange.

Yep, we are all anxious for more detailed...details.

Some is out there. The Boston Acoustics 9-speaker system is not standard.

Premium Boston Acoustics 9-speaker, 245 watt audio system with subwoofer available on select models

As far as visuals, what you see is what you can expect to get. Unfortunately, there isn't much to see yet, at least not enough to tell the whole story, IMO.

I love that it's got 9 speakers on the optional unit (probably DAMN clear), but 245 watts is a little weak. For comparison, my Cobalt SS has a 228 watt (7 speaker Pioneer) unit...

That wouldn't bother me much. The RMS rating is much more important than peak anyway. If it's a clear sounding system that sounds great at all volume levels, 99% of buyers will be happy.

Yep, I have a feeling that's what it'll be. And that's absolutely fine with me... that's what aftermarket is for anyway.

Thanks for the info and links. I've never had a Boston Acoustics system, only Bose...Is it comparable?

Not likely for the head unit unless the aftermarket comes up with a seriously sweet Camaro-only system. The head unit appears to be integrated with the rest of the car pretty tightly.

Check my blog entry here:

Note the second point listed.

Boston makes some good stuff for the aftermarket, there's a few manufacturers running them stock too, sounds good to me either way.
