I was originally convinced that since i had a convertible, even though it was a 96' that it wasn't prewired for the changer. Lord knows that GM screwed anyone with a convertible for sterio options.
But anyway, i yanked out the stock head unit, and sure enough it had the changer wire plugged into the back of it, but i cannot find it in the trunk. It disappears behind the instrument cluster in the dash, and since its a convertible, there are no "hatch speakers" like there are in the coupe, i don't know where else it could be. I pulled up all the carpet and the panels in the trunk, and its just not there. I looked as good as i could (not very well since its raining) around the speaker in the sail panel, and i just can't find it. Does anyone know where this thing is???

Stop by your local dealer or car audio shop and they should be able to help you out, if you can't find an answer online. I'm pretty sure all cars are prewired for the changer, so it should be there somewhere.
