I've had problems with my window motors since I got the car, alot of people have this problem I'm sure. Anyways, my passenger side window motor just up and stopped working, I can push either the drivers side or passenger side window button and it does nothing, so I'm guessing its electrical and not the actual motor. Oh and I can use the power lock button on the passenger side door, so that confuses me. All I really need is directions on where to start looking to fix the problem.


PS. I checked the fuse.

 

Since the power windows don't have anything to do with the PCM or tuning, I'll move this to "General F-Body Tech & Info", where most questions of this type are posted.

 

Yeah I've been having a bad habit of "wheredoesthispostgoitis" recently with things that don't fit into any of the other categories. Anyways, Fred, I know you know toooooooons of information about f-bodies (30,000 post! Damn). Now that its in the correct forum, any suggestions for me to help me fix my window motor? If you have a multimeter, you could test for voltage at the harness connector going to the window motor. If voltage is present but the motor isn't spinning, then its time to replace. The power window motors are a pretty common part to fail, as mentioned above, Shoebox has a good tutorial in the actual replacement assuming the motor is bad.

 

Yeah I think I'm gonna just tear everything apart and just use a voltmeter on it and see whats wrong, and if I need to replace the window motor than so be it, arg. Anyways, thanks for all the help, peace.
