seeing more names coming out of the woodwork on ebay regarding tc's. id be hesitant myself. balloon plates optional but extra, no lock up clutch (fine if you dont want that)

personally id go with a proven name and one with a decent warranty. cant go wrong with yank, or fuddle

As far as the ebay converter I really think in will be a junk, but there's only one way to find out for sure. Personally I would never run a non-lockup converter in a 700/4l60 that wasn't set up for it. I ran around a little while with no lock-up when I was having issues with it, and the tranny heats up about 5 times faster. If your driving around in the summer on the street with a stall and no lock-up your going to have a real good chance of burning up your tranny. Not to mention how much better MPG's you get with the lock-up.

 

I can't speak for their converters, but I know for a fact that their transmissions are junk.

all it is ...a converter out of a minivan or cavalier(245mm I think)
they weld adapters ont it for the flexplate...and a chinese pump drive.

POS......It may work it may not, but if it doesen't they will probly be out of biz

 

If I were you I would spend the extra money and go with a precision industries vigilante converter, Ive got 75k on it no problems whatsoever. Oh yeah my transmission failed recently and I sent my torque converter back to precision industries for a "cut and clean". They called me and found no problems to converter still! They put my converter back together and now it is in my vehicle with new rebuilt trans from cpt. Dont buy a cheap converter, you get what you pay for!
