Rattling, but why?

Hows it going guys, awhile back ago a chambered muffler and cutout was installed in my 2000 Camaro SS. At first I thought it was the electric cutout causing the rattle cause when closed I didn't hear the rattle anymore and when open the rattle would come out from the cutout. I installed longtubes with ory recently and now I'm hearing the rattle now even when the cutout is closed. WTF? The rattling happens around 2k and rattles on deceleration but does not rattle at idle. At first I thought it was from the ory hitting the floorboard or tunnel brace but I fixed both by placing a heater hose/ hose clamp on the ypipe and removing the tunnel brace. But still, the rattling is still there.

In what area do you think it's rattling? It's pretty common for Y pipes to rattle. If you are sure that's not it best advice I can give is crawl under there with a flashlight and look for a mark on he floorboard or exhaust. If that doen't yeild any results, grab the exhaust and shake it, look for where it's hitting.

It sounds like its coming from the ypipe for sure, only got to see it from the drivers side but not sure if its rattling from the passenger side. But if its in the ypipe I'm sure its the whole thing. I'm going to raise my car up tomorrow and check out the things you said.

I'm also going to check for heatshields as well. Anything else I should check for?
