Exclamation My car seems to rattle now!

I have 3 10" MTX Thunder 6000 subs powered by a 500 watt Phoenix Gold amp. I have had that setup since June 2002. When I say, "rattle", I do not mean the trunk is rattling outside. Rather, it seems like my interior is rattling.

When I used to play my music loud (mostly music with definitive on and off beats like rap and R&B), I never noticed my car rattling, or hearing things vibrate. When I played it EXTREMELY loud, then I heard stuff, of course. This was in the summer, windows were down 99% of the time.

Now that the weather is chillier up here, the windows are up. When I play my rap CDs, it seems like there are more rattles and vibrations inside than there was before.

Could the windows being up be a factor? Do your cars vibrate inside? Should I tighten stuff down, such as my dashboard and whatnot? Do you guys have to periodically tighten stuff on your cars?

Its pretty much normal for stuff to rattle loose over time. And having subs thumping most of the time accelerates it 50-fold. I have a 1987 Camaro Z28 with dual 12s in it, and one not only did my dash rattle to peices periodically, but my rear-view mirror fell off almost weekly.

Check the plastic interior panels. There's a couple spots where they overlap causing extreme vibration. I've got a couple of mine lined with felt where they fit together. You could also be hearing parts of the hatch lock vibrating. Just a couple suggestions.
