what amp are YOU using to push one 10" L5?

Ive been trying to decide which amp to go with to push one 10" L5 (2-ohm) in a stealthbox. The sub has a 450 watt RMS and handles a peak of 900 watts.

I was thinking of using an Alpine MRP-M350 mono amp, which has a 350 watt RMS x 1 at 2-ohms.

Any other ideas?

You don't want to underdrive the sub. Probly should get at least 450 to it or a little more

im pretty sure that you arnt suppost to give the sub 100% of what it can handle... if i am not mistaken it is like 70 i think... so that amp will be sufficiant. i power a 10'' Type R 500 rms with that amp and it sounds great.

Generally you are better off having a little extra power then not enough because with too little power you will tend to clip the amp by driving to overdrive it and hurt the sub

95-100% of the RMS range is ideal. Otherwise you're going to strain the amp pushing the power.

Try to find something with 425-450 bridged RMS.
