So what year was it ? was it the first year of the LS1s (98) or when. And while were at it, was it the same for the Firebird ?

 

Not positive but my buddy has a 97 camaro with monsoon i believe it is the first year as well... furthermore other friend has 97 ws6 with monsoon as well

 

Could have very well been the 93's. I have no proof of this, however I do remember that I met a dude with a 96 RS on the street and his was a Monsoon and it sounded like it had subs. My friend has a monsoon system in his 2000 Firebird V6, so they have them too.

 

i believe 93-96 was optional bose which had a sub, i think 97 was when it went to monsoon

 

I second the 93-96 Bose 97+ Monsoon I had a 95 Firebird that had a 10 speaker EQ CD head unit and it sounded as good as the Monsoon I had listened to at the 97 Detroit Auto Show.
