Stock Suspension 60fts?

What is everyone one else with stock suspension, minor boltons with either DR's or ET Streets getting as a 60ft time?

I'm planning on running some ET streets soon on my stock stalled A4. Previous best 60ft was 1.94 on some BFG KDWS's.

Re: Stock Suspension 60fts?

friday night pulled a 1.76 60 ft on stock suspension, w/ mods in sig. not too bad but still some room for improvement once i get the 3.73's. also since you alreay have pretty good 60's with your street tires you shouldn't have to ease out of the hole or slowly ease through 1st to pull godd 60's. thats what i loveabout having a 3000 stall and et streets, i just stall it to 2500 rpm, green light drops and my foot goes throught the floor boards. that'll give you an idea of what to expect from the et streets, never tried dr's so i couldnt comment on that.

Re: Stock Suspension 60fts?

Best I have cut on true radial tires, Kuhmo 712s infact, is a 1.86, thats with stock 3.23s gears. The entire suspension is all original from 93, that includes the shocks and springs as well, nothing changed, the car was on 17 inch ZR1s. I was impressed as that was with flashing the Vig right out the whole, car just hooked and ran. Like I said, nothing has been touched on the entire suspension of the car. The front sway bar was even still in.

Track conditions will play a HUGE role in 60' times, FWIW.

Re: Stock Suspension 60fts?

ditto on what Rich said.

But the best I ever cut was a 1.57 on slicks. The suspension is... or was at the time completely stock with the exception of CE rear shocks.

Since someone brought up slicks, I'll add that the stock suspension is very capable, just in case you're interested. 1.50 sixty footers here.

Re: Stock Suspension 60fts?

Back when I had a stock suspension I would cut consistent high 1.8's on a well prepped track and 1.9's on a decent track. Any worse than that and it was impossible to be consistent with a six speed. I used BFG drag radials at the time.

Re: Stock Suspension 60fts?

1.67 with all factory stuff. 96,000 mile stock torque arm, lower control arms, springs, gas shocks, and no relocation brackets.

It does have an air bag in the right rear, and the front sway bar has been removed.

1.67 is the best, but the car cuts high 1.6 / low 1.7's pretty consistantly with 15# in the 26 x 11.5 ET Streets.

It was a full weight (3448#), head/cam car with a 3800 stall, and 4.10 gears.

My car has stock shocks, springs, torque arm with swaybars removed and airbag in right rear spring. My car is na with stockheads and I've had a best of 1.47 on Hoosier Quicktime Pro's. The stock suspension on our cars work well. Frank95z

Youre right Frank. You ever put a real cam and some heads on that baby yet. I have been 1.49 60' but only once usually cut high 1.5's-1.6's N/A and low 1.50's on n2o spinning a little.
