Should be pretty close. I'd say mostly a drivers race, if you pull on GT's like you say.

I met a girl at the track that ran her mach 1 auto with K&N and dr's and she pulled 13.6 @ 100-101mph.

That's about right. As usual the automatics in Fords are much slower than the manual versions. M5 run heads up with stock LS1s, A4s would usually be a tad bit quicker than an LT1.

Why can't I find out how much they weigh? Can't find it on Ford's site.

I see that it has 305HP and 320 ft/lb of TQ. The rear diff is also a 3.55. That helps a little, but I don't see it running 13.1 and trapping 106 stock with those numbers. Doesn't sound stock to me unless they are HIGHLY underrated.

What mods would an LT1 need in order to beat a Mach 1 with an CAI and exhaust? Anyone know?

not to be a smartass or anything, but that IS what they run with a good driver... there are a few mach 1 owners that post on ls1.com. the mach 1 motor is up on power just about everywhere in the rpm band over the 2001 cobra motor.

I really don't care how it compares to a '01 cobra, to be honest. I'm wondering how they are getting times like that with 305 HP, because I know stangs aren't light. I'm still very doubtful of a 13.1 sec 106 mph 1/4, STOCK.

I'm with you on this one. Cobras run times like that with 400hp, how would a mach 1 do it w/ 305? It could just be that much lighter.... I don't know....

The Mach I is underrated.

I've seen charts on LS1.com of guys laying down around 280HP and 305TQ bone stock. So I would guess that would give the motor around 320HP/345TQ.

Also, the Mach I is not a low 14 sec. car, the GT is.

The '01 Cobras are mid-13 cars and the Mach I is mid-to-low 13s.

These cars are basically a tick behind the LS1.
