Question internal or external regulator?

How difficult would it be to get rid of my external regulator and use an internally regulated alternator? Is there a lot of rewiring to do? Would it be beneficial in any way?

Relatively easy. I just did it on my brothers 69. Here's a link:

These guys sell a conversion kit that makes it about the easiest tihng to do. And yes, it would be worth the (minimal) effort just for the added reliability and the ability to purchase a higher amp alternator at any parts store if you wish.
