Perfect Winter Project (T-top conversion)

Re: Perfect Winter Project (T-top conversion)
Why are people worried about stuff being used? If the weather stripping is good and TTops arn't all scratched up whats it matter?
Go to your chevy dealership and ask for 2 tops and all the weatherstripping. You will probably choke.
I got my tops from someone here and pulled the rest off of a car at the junk yard that had been rotting for years, still good parts though.

I didn't buy it anywhere so I don't know how much you would pay for all this. It is just everything off of my car that had t-tops. It would cost over 350 just to buy the glass new.

Dude, i would buy it from you right now, but i just dont know if i have the ***** to start cutting into my car! For those guys who did this with their cars; where did you know to cut around for the t-tops? is there some pattern you trace b4 you start cutting? im afraid im going to cut too wide and ruin the seating of the t-tops!

You really can't mess this up, I didn't take many pictures but can help you. I would be glad to walk anyone through this if they want to try. Its easy just takes a little time.
The top part (fiberglass) already has a line where you need to cut it.
The side pieces are easy too. Cut the first time so you have lots of extra meat. Once you can see inside the rails you will see where you need to cut it at. Even if you are off an inch or two it won't matter. The brackets just have to bolt in the hole, be adjusted, then the plastics cover up all the ugly stuff.
