Exclamation z28 bogs down...????

Well te other day I was driving my car in the city. Everything was normal...Until the car starts to bog and then bam... it turns off.. So i try to start it again and it wont crank.... so?? I mthinking maf sensor ok... Called a tow truck and towed it home... I left alone for that day b/c I was mad at her... The following morning I go a try to start it and wtf??? it starts??? But has a service light... It was for a bad maf... So I buy a new maf and also replace the pigtail... ok well i go start it....after i disconnect the battery...it wont crank...I can hear the fuel pump priming.. after a couple of tries the car starts for about 10 sec then it dies as if its not getting any air or spark?? I have no idea what could be wrong with it? anyone had this happen to them??I'm so lost!!! Any Input would be greatly appreciated....

What was the exact code for the MAF sensor? Have you scanned it again since it failed to start?

starting it cold should bypass anything the MAF reads...it should start and run in "limp home" mode...

i know when my maf went, i just unpluged it while it was running (barely) and it smoothed right out. new maf and it was cured.

When my MAF was disconnected it would have similar problems I would just check your connections first then think about getting a new one.

Always easier to diagnose if you have the EXACT code.... there are 4 different ones for the MAF. With the key on, check the pink wire on the MAF harness connector for +12V. You can also attempt to read the MAF output signal with a frequency meter (included in many low $$$ multimeters). It should be about 2,500 - 3,000 Hz at idle, and increase when you open the throttle.

Again.... have you scanned it since you replaced the MAF sensor?
