Need help identifying something

I think i pretty much figured out what was done to my car however my neighbor took a look at it and said i had something to do with upgraded fuel lines.

I am guessing he was talking about the fuel rails because they do look extremely clean. Do people ever upgrade fuel rails and what benefit would it give me? I really cant tell if they are oem or aftermarket, can someone give me a pic of the factory ones?

Re: Need help identifying something

If there is a hard line that goes through the a slot on the top of the intake manifold, its most likely stock. If it has stainless braided lines, its probably not.

You can put a mirror finish on the fuel rails, with some Mothers aluminum polish and a little elbow grease - without pulling them off the engine

You'll need some high temp clear on them if you polish. Thought it'd be cool to do this when I first bought the car (they're anodized now), of course they oxidized real quick like.
Clear coated em' the next time and they looked nice til I pulled the engine.

No clear coat. The rails and TB get polished once a year. Not driving in bad weather helps

You polish hound you!

Looks good Fred.

And I meant the act of shining something... not that you were Polish or anything.
