lt4 km or lt1 km
what is the difference in resistance reading between the lt1 and lt4 knock module. cant you use your lt1km then just solder a resistor in the line?? ive seen it done with tpi engines when they swap from maf to sd and was just curios because im gonna be buying a lt4km soon.
thanks

Re: lt4 km or lt1 km
This belongs on "LT1 Engine Tech".... but to answer your question..... the knock module is a chip with a fairly complex filter circuit on it, to filter out noise signatures/patterns/frequencies that are known NOT to represent engine knock. The chances of picking a resistor that would allow the LT1 module to assume the charcteristics of the LT4 circuit would appear to be unlikely.
What are you trying to accomplish? The knock module is a $25 item, that is prepackaged to fit into the socket in the PCM.
