93z28 flooding

Re: 93z28 flooding
Do you mean you are experiencing an extended cranking time before it starts? Does it smell of fuel?
If so, could be leaking injectors. Try this - before trying to start the engine, put the accel pedal on the floor and hold it there. Continue holding it on the floor, while you turn the key to "start", keeping it on the floor until the engine starts. That puts the ECM (computer) in "clear flood" mode. If it starts quicker doing that you found the problem.
At that point you would test the fuel pressure, looking for rapid pressure bleed down after the fuel pump primes and then shuts off.
Rich cold starts can also be caused by a faulty coolant temp sensor, or a leaking fuel pressure regulator. A leaking fuel pressure regulator can also be diagnosed with a pressure gauge and checking the regulator's vacuum compensation line for wet fuel.

When it does do it it turns over right away but won't idle unless I give it a little gas for like 30 sec to 1min then it will stay on an it smells like gas when it does happen. Doesn't happen all the time just here an there
