What do you think could be the problem with my alarm system?

I have a 1996 camaro RS and it does the weirdest thing. When I open up my door to the car after it had been locked, closed, and alarm activated, my alarm goes off. When I open it from the passenger side, it will go off immediately and when I open from the drivers side, 5 seconds and it goes off. It got to be a nuisance that I had to pull my horn fuse. What do you think is up with this??? I would very much like my horn back and for this to stop. Any suggestions?
Thank you!

If it is the factory alarm- Are you unlocking the car with the key fob or the key? If its with the key, that is normal.

If you have an after market alarm or keyless- the factory alarm disarm was not hooked up or not correctly.

Yeah. It's the factory alarm system. I didn't know that it was normal for your alarm to go off like that for just opening the door with the key. It does have keyless entry but my remotes are broken. Looks like I am going to have to find a new remote. Thank you.
