overheating. im stumped.

So last Monday my car overheated after stopping to get fuel. I had driven the car for about 45 mins prior to stopping. Originally I thought my csr pump went because I couldn't hear it run anymore. after installing a new meziere pump she still runs hot. also I cant hear the new pump running either... which makes me think its shorting out somewhere. its got a new relay. Thermostat still opens. anything im missing here?

Re: overheating. im stumped.

Have you looked for actual flow in the radiator?

Re: overheating. im stumped.

Did you check for 12 volts and a ground at the electric pump?

Re: overheating. im stumped.

Ended up getting lucky. apparently the wiring for my old csr pump also had its own build in fuse, and of course it was hidden behind the radiator so I never noticed it was just a bad fuse haha... but I guess I have a spare pump now if it ever really does go bad. so to anyone still reading. always start with the small things. my 2 cents.

Re: overheating. im stumped.

If you had checked for 12V at the pump, you would have found the problem without "getting lucky".
