Here's how it works. The cable supplied will fit your 95, but I don't remember if it will work without some modification. Give me a few days to find out. Also the power supply in the CP9127 is a 12vdc pack that many people have already for other devices and it allows you to scan the pcm. See if you already have one of those for camera or something like it.

Correction: I forgot that without the external supply, the tool will not scan; it just handles files already stored for the pc. So, you either need 12v at the DLC (94 no, 95 yes) or a cigar lighter power adapter like the one supplied with the CP9127 cable kit.

Just in case anyone is watching.... The CP9185 will work on a 95 without the CP9127 cable kit, because the 12v is already wired to the connector in a 95. I had forgotten about that.

So, any updates on this? From what I see, you said I don't need any kind of external power output, and I'm ok to get the cp9185 scanner? Am I going to need that cp9127 adapter cable with it too? Huge thanks for looking into it
