cracked piston

Would a cracked piston in the input drum cause no 3/4.

Just tore my Trans apart and rebuilt it, piston was cracked pretty good and the 3/4 clutches were not burnt but the first two clutches in the bottom of the input drum were bare metal no fiber on them, they were also conned really bad.

Just installed molded pistons, so hopefully it won't happen again.

Re: cracked piston

A cracked piston will cause burnt forwards and possible no forward movement. If you had 1st and 2nd, the forward piston isn't what caused your no 3-4. You have another issue somewhere.

What else would cause no 3/4? The valve body is now in another Trans I built and it works great.
