Use GM fuel filter?

I am going to clean my gas tank out with some seafoam, and figure particals will get caught up and maybe plug my current filter. When I replace it, should I just get a GM? I have a fram right now which I hear is bad. Any other good brands to get and where to get them?

You don't have any engine mods so just go with the OEM. There are several places you could get it from that can save you money.

There are cleanable types available but they don't filter as small a particle and are much more expensive. The type that have a replaceable filter insert clean smaller particles but again are very expensive and you aren't running a larger than normal flow rate so stick with OEM.

By the way, that's an interesting name. Is that like a "country sanger" LOL

have fun and don't sweat the small S#$%!!!!!

i threw in a (gasp) new Fram fuel filter 3-4 months ago.

i don't think there's anything wrong with it.
i plan on changing it every 20,000 miles/2 years anyway.

people say their oil filters are weak... i don't know, i use K&N

I don't know why a Fram would be bad, they use the same filter media as OEM, and the millions of customers that use Fram products can't be wrong. I have never heard anything bad about Fram.

Fram USED to make quality parts. They have since cut down on quality, though

I got a Purolator Pure One fuel filter, along with my oil filter. Guy said it is one of the best. I don't know. But he works at a parts store, and I don't.
