...help, I've managed to get it in a bit but it still has a way togo...so far I've wraped a hammer with a cloth and tried to bang it in but she stopped going in...I think I need to bash it in the middle...any suggestions?

...thanks

Do not use a Hammer to get it back on!! Use a bolt that threads into the center and push/pull it on, using a threaded piece so you can thread it in, then use the outside area to pull it in farther without damaging threads, or the dampner. The threaded section might get damaged but that can be replaced easily.

I would not beat it on with a hammer though.

Actually we took a large piece of 2 by 6 and hit it with a 28 lb hammer sqaure in the middle.

It worked. *shrug*

Shaun for next time don't wack with a hammer and board. The installers are cheap at lordco and mopac and such...

IT is like this would you pull the crank out and wack it outside the motor?? Not flaming just giving another view..
