i just called mopac
they said 1596.00 steel flywheel
or 2076.00 for aluminum
has anyone bought one from down south and gotten it shppied here if so how much toatl and from where

there is a GP possibly going from tbyrne for 939.00 with alimunum but with shipping and the cost of the dollar it will proly be close to 1800-2000 and i dont know how long shipping would take

 

get a steel one ... al flywheels are only good if u do road racing / autox .. for a daily driver / drag racer .. steel flywheel is the right choice .. AND its cheaper .....

i got mine from the same guy i bought my rear end from .. i paid $1000 cdn shipped for it brand new (he sold his project car for a Z06)
the alum one from tByrn for 939 usd .. will endup costing u around 1700 MAX cdn ... if u cut some corners around 1500 probably
just order a steel one from tbyrne


in all honesty though .. i wouldnt get a street twin if i were u .. u dont really need it .. 1) u dont have big HP 2) u dont race often 3) u have no traction ... u really only need a nasty clutch if u have all of the 3 mentioned ...

so save ur money for
1) HP
2) start racing with what u got
3) get traction (rear end / slicks / suspendion / chasis)
then get a clutch

 

I agree with Payam... I would leave your clutch as-is until you find it starts slipping. If you aren't running big HP or sticky tires I don't think it's worth shelling out that much for a McLeod.

Do you have any other plans for your car in the near future?

 

i think it is a waste of money to buy a stock replacment clutch for my car just to replace it when my motor is done that is why i want a mcloed
i already need a new clutch so i might as well buy it now

Ahh, so there is some serious mod work coming up. In that case definitely get the Steel McLeod . I love mine.

 

Buy a Spec STage III....I've heard great things about the new design. I've done the research and it's going to be the clutch I buy to replace my Center Force.

 

i have heard good and bad things about the spec clutches
i dont mind put out the extra money on the mcloed so that is what im going to go with
