when can I go full syn oil, put the motor in 3 years ago and only have 1,500 miles on

I have a new gm 350 replacment motor in my car, i put it in 3 years ago and have only put at teh most 1,500 miles on it, I changed the only in the spring and in the fall no matter what and start the car twice during the winter and drive it a few hundred miles during the summer. I have bneen useing regular oil but I was woindering if I should switch to syn oil (mobil 1 10-30)and if I change it in the spring do i still have to change it in the fall? thanks

You can change it now if you want, but most people wait till 3000 miles, but if you only put 500 miles a year on a car you don't need to worry about going to synthetic because you will be dead and gone LONG before the engine wears out even with regular oil!!!

Oil is oil is oil. Just put it in the next time you change it.
