Engine running warmer after TB bypass??
Engine running warmer after TB bypass??
I did the TB bypass the other day. My throttle dosnt stick anymore thank god. BUT i did notice my H20 temp gets higher quicker, and take a little more to come down. Is this normal??
Thanks.
Thanks.

There's no mechanical way that two hoses or their function could bind the cable or butterflies. And did you bleed the coolant after you finished it all, or did you just hook everything back together and have at it?
There's two coolant lines that connect to the throttle body and run coolant through it. It's supposed to prevent the throttle blades from icing up in colder months, yet no one who has done the bypass seems to have had a problem with it.
Disconnect the two lines from the throttle body and connect them. Doing so will bypass the hot coolant from the throttle body (which would aid in warming the intake charge). It's a dyno-proven 7hp gain. Best of the free mods by far.

my throttle would stick closed, and i noticed it only did it after coolent was flowing(ie car was at temp). There was a little bit of gunk in there so i jsut took the entire TB off when i did it and cleaned it up real good.
I tryed to bleed it, but i guess i didnt do it right. What i did was after the car was running for a few mins, i unscrewed the bleeder screws until some coolent came out then closed them back up. I did one at a time, started with the bigger line thats easier to get to.
Thanks.

you may have to bleed them once or twice again. i did it a couple of times because i didn't get all of the air out the first time. you may be able to bleed them both at the same time. also, make sure you fill the coolant back up that you lost after bleeding the line if you drained a lot out.
When bleeding, Should only air come out at first followed by coolant or does it come out toghether? As soon as i opne up my screws coolant drips out, should i just let it sit like this for a few minuets or should i open the screws up more, let the coolant flow then refill the extra coolant reservoir when completed? I dont hear any air coming out nor see any bubbles, chances are i probably dont have any air in the lines but its always good to be 100% sure.
