Bush and not the good kind
I agree with action agianst Iraq, I jsut think he is going about it the wrong way, and he seems to be "masking" economic problems with the "War on Terror" and now Iraq, both are huge issues but I think he is exploiting them to cover up some economic downturns we have been having.
If you ask me his little bro is screwing up more things with the Florida education system then his big brother is screwing up america.

AMEN! Trailers are for cheap homes, not teaching our children. I can not begin to fathom how they justify that to the taxpayers.
Iraq nees to become the parking lot for middle east Disney (located on the ground fomerly known as Afghanistan).
Jeb clearly explained that he wasn't for the education increase. His campaign said that the education refrom plan would be too expensive. He was re-elected, and the education reform passed. He is now up $hit creek because he's gotta pull the 15 billion from somewhere. Us dumb floridians brought this upon ourselves in this election.

remember the pregnant pig amendment? there WERE 2 pig farms in florida. a few weeks before the law took affect they sent all their pigs to slaughter and moved out of state... so by voting for that amendment, you got all pigs on pigfarms in florida killed. how's that for irony?

And things would be so much better with the idiot Gore in the office.
And maybe Janet Reno for governor.
A raise? What's that? I'm lucky to still have a job at all. And from what I've heard that's the norm for this year unless of course you work for the government. Good for you BTW. I'm just swimming in a bit of job insecurity right now.
As far as Iraq is concerned, my opinion is that we have our hands in too many conflicts around the globe. If we do anything against the best wishes of NATO we are just as bad as Iraq for not following NATO's demands. If we step out from under the NATO umbrella we are gonna get screwed big time. I know that Bush wants to get back at the scum bags that supposedly tried to kill his daddy a few months back. But I don't feel that the country as a whole is quite as ready to jump into a war with the towel heads. Especially since our open borders have allowed so many to freely come for a visit. Our laws protect their beliefs and their ability to thrive within our borders. All we can do is retaliate once an action has been taken against us like 9/11.
I say get the F out of Iraq. Let them be. But if we get tagged again, blow the living shiznit out of whoever is responsible. That includes Iraq if they assisted in any way. And I mean beat the crap out of them 10 times worse than Afganistan ever was.
We've gotten too political these days. Everybody has their own agenda in world politics. Why must everything be drawn out for months for the sake of diplomacy? Why can't an attack be countered by a swift decisive counter attack to let them know they f'ed up? Why does the US always have to be the world police force? Why do we still support countries that hate us like France and South Korea? Why do our nations largest companies still send jobs out of the country to save money in the name of lowering their bottom line, increasing profits and supposedly regenerating the economy? If all of our jobs go to India, China and so on, this helps their economy and the fat cats who sit on the boards of these large companies. But we have no economy left.
Sorry for the long rant about politics. But, hey, you started it beetch.

hey now, not all of us in the govt are sitting high on our job security. i work for the DoD, specifically NAVAIR orlando. our building builds trainers and the such for different types of equipment, mostly stuff for the navy. during the war, generally you stop funding the training and put the money torwards the front lines, to the soldiers themselves. it ain't cheap to move all them people overseas, and they keep cutting our budget. they had to give something like 35 engineers early retirement, they've frozen all hiring, and they've been thinking about cutting all the students for the past few months. job security? i wish...
and for the next fiscal year, they've cut funding to salaries by quite a few million...
job security sucks for everyone right about now, govt or not.

Well you just answered alot of your questions. Lets takle your "jobs moving elsewhere, for the sake of the bottom line" bit.
Well, last I checked you dont get into business, to lose money. And slightly making money doesnt cut it usually either. Lets take a consumable like shoes. Since I work in the shoe industry. Its funny, all day long, Ill hear (especially older people) cry about how "Everything is made in china", but those are the same people who refuse to pay more than 19.99 for a pair of sneakers. So which is it? You want a quality american made product, but dont want to pay for the higher cost of wages and incorporation that american business brings. In other words, they move elsewhere because for as much moaning and griping Americans do about not having "American goods" on the shelves, they certainly wont pay for it. (as a business whole). And the business' know it.
As for the Gist of this conversation.........As far as accomplishment goes......Worst president ever. Period.

I can remember one recent president in particular that made a mochary of our own legal system for the sake of getting his wanger bangered.
Plus let's not loose sight of reality. Do you really think the president is so powerful as to be able to dictate how every detail of our lives gets handled? He might make suggestions as to how he wants to change economic policies. But it still has to be approved by the rest of Washington. Yeah, the country's goin' to the crapper. But some factors aren't controlable by the president.
Also most smart businessmen know that if you don't have any employed Americans, it doesn't matter how much money you save by manufacturing a product overseas. There still has to be someone to buy the product here. A similar theory is the lowering tax theory. If people pay less taxes and spend more of their income, people make more money as a whole. The government can collect a smaller percentage and still collect the same amount. You have to see the big picture. What looks simple in the close-up view isn't so simple in the big picture.
But if you think it's still all GW's fault and his brother "rigged" the ballots, we're just gonna have to agree to disagree.
My opinions of Bush are mixed... I don't neccesarily like him, but then again I don't hate him I think he does some good things and but just doesn't seem to be focusing on the economy or even North Korea like he should...
hehe funny thing is the REAL person to blame the economy on is Clinton.
As for Job security, my place of business is so poorly run if they wanted to lay me off, by the time they figured they wanted to lay off me and start working towards doing it, the recession will be over and they will be looking to higher and keep me

On the issue with Florida's self proclaimed educational governor the man took 2 bill from education then a year later gave one bill back and they call him a hero for saving education with extra funding... 2 - 2 = 0 + 1 = 1 but you began with 2. I personally feel this whole war thing is like mustang eater said a mask to cover more real problems and take away some liberties and so on. I support america, I vote, voice my opinion, and if we needed even if I disagree would enlist with out hesitation to preserve our safety and freedoms.
I think his whole handling of this is not in the best interest of america. This situtaion is more of a CIA/NSA ops type of event. We have usedthe cia to take out leaders before why not now.
= both bush brothers I hate to see a good thing like bush
get tarnished and ruined like this.

Economy
The way I feel is Clinton has been gone for almost 3 years now. Yet people still blame him for the economy. The economy was great during his reign, but the President doesn't have too much to do with what happens. All the President can do is send bills to Congress, its Congress that represents us. If the economy sucks, its not neccesary the President, its the Congress. Remember back in the day they use to blame the mostly Democratic ran Congress and House for everything bad during the Republican reign Presidentcy? Now there is no excuse, you give people whom have money power, and guess what, they make sure they keep it ! ! ! You think they care wether or not normal class working people get pay raises or big tax cuts, hell no, as long as they get what they want they are happy. Don't know about the rest of you but I got $200 less on this tax return then last year. I don't get a raise here. I work at the Sheriff's Office, all I get is a Cost of Living Increase, which equals around 4% each year, ie. 2.5% last year.
Iraq
As for Iraq, who here has seen Blackhawk down? It will be the exact same thing, no help from NATO, which means all deaths will be 100% U.S. casualties. The only difference will be much more casualties on the U.S part then the movie. Put yourself in Iraq's shoes. You have a "bully" of a country telling you to get rid of your weapons, when the bully (USA) has more then any other country in the world. On top of that the US will use the nuclear missles before Iraq ever will. The proof that Colon Powell showed was horrible. I thought he actually had some legit proof, but I think he took satilite photos from back in '91 when Iraq did have weapons and just modified the date to reflect a time just before the inspectors got there.
I don't think war should be the number 1 concern right now with what's going on in the U.S., but if NATO backs us up, I will be okay with it, Iraq isn't dumb enough to fight against the whole world, if NATO don't back us, then may God bless all of our souls, because Iraq will hit us with everything they got, and they aren't afraid to die, ie. suicide bombings. If they have the nuclear missles, you are damn sure they will use them against us.
Damn I wish they didn't have term limits, Clinton would still be in today, guarenteed. Clinton never had any of these problems, **** they had to dig up stuff on his personal life because he didn't cause any problems elsewhere and didn't try to screw our economy.
And that's my time,
