i ran into an issue when it wouldn't turn over at all. it could be several causes:

1. one time my radio and everything would come on then when i went to turn it on, it just killed everything. Turned out of be my battery terminal posts. clean them with a wire brush and put them back on. They have to be TIGHT on the battery. Don't finger tight those terminals, use a pair of pliers and get them tight as possible.

2. Make SURE you checked all your fuses. I think the ignition fuse that blew on mine was in the side panel up top towards the engine. Like fuse #4 or 5 on the top or second row. something like that.

3. You could also take a pair of jumper cables and tie one to the positive on your battery and taking the other end to the starter underneath the car. Give it some juice and see if it will turn over the starter. (not sure on this method, i had a friend do it for me)

thats about all the situations i have ran across when the car didn't start. I have never really heard of the opti not causing the car to start period. then again i may be wrong.
