From: at the moment i live in hawaii. but in the next year i plan on going to wyotech to become a performance mechanic
fuel problem

my 93 z28 starts but dies when i hit the gas after about 30 sec.s i was wounder if its just the fuel filter or if it is the pump. thanks

Ya really need to get a gauge on it.. make sure pump runs 2 seconds when key goes from off to on and the rails pressurize to 41-47 lbs and hold pressure. Then start it up and make sure pump is running pressure should drop 3-10 lbs and hold. If not could be pump, filter, or regulator. here is the procedure , ref shoebox.. http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.htm...essure_testing . With a '93 you can use the paperclip method to read DTC's. Check to see if you have any, not all codes will lite the SES lamp..
