Ignition problem

1986 IROC/Z

The car will not turn over when key is turn, it shows that it has power when the gagues turn on but engine won't start.

Is this a problem with the ingnition, the wiring or both?

When you say it wont turn over, do you mean it wont turn over at all, or do you mean it turns over but doesn't fire up?

Sounds like a bad starter and/or solenoid or corroded wires, maybe take the starter down to Autozone for a quick test?
