z06 w/ full bolt-ons and a 100 shot

At freaky friday in fay, nc I out ran a z06 vette with full boltons and a 100 shot of spray with my little 01 firechicken...

He ran a 11.67 at 12x mph and I ran a 11.61 at like 117ish.

After the race he wanted to switch lanes bc of traction issues, so we did. And I hurt his feelings again. YES SIR!!! who says full loaded t/a on street tires cant be fast.

his 60's were 1.83 and 1.85 and mine were 1.67 and 1.71 respectively

Very nice.

Pride,
What kind of weight reduction you got on that thing?

You can see my Saleen hp numbers in my sig are similar to yours, but my tq is way up due to the KB blower.
We took mine to the track (spur of the moment) and only ran on street tires to a time of 8.16 @ 92.1 mph
with a 2.04 60' time.

I hope mine will achieve similar numbers to yours when we get the slicks bolted up. Im running in the April 09 PINKS event at Zmax dragway and hoping for mid to high 11s in the 1/4.

Weight reduction= no floor mats and removed spare and jack.

the car is fully load: leather, power everything, and ttops. No I did not remove rear seats or seat belts

Im running on 17" rims with nitto 555's.

So im guess it pretty damn heavy.

I was gonna delete the rear seats and belts but I dont have any where to put the leather seats and I dont want anything to happen to them.

Get your 60' down to like 1.7x or lower and you should be runing 7.6-7.7 or like 11.8ish in the 1/4

thanks,

Pride

Mike, unhook the sway bar and swap in some 4 cyl fox springs on the front. You will sit the bumper down nicely and improve on those times.

Thanks guys.

DC,
I already have the tubular K and coilovers up front, but also have the sway bar. Im sure I can drop it out before the event. I weighed my pig vert last week at the dmv scales and it was 3,540 without me in it.

Anyway, not to take the spotlight off pride. Sweet car he's got and killer times.

Later.

Al, you are my hero....1.48 60' 6.9 1/8th and 10.x 1/4 with h/c and bolt-ons? Do you have any weight reduction? What gear are you running? Stall Size?

If your trying to keep covert, thats cool but your seating where I want to be, and im trying to get a game plan together for next year. Any suggestions

Would I benefit from unhooked sway bar????? and how difficult to do?

BTW DC I love that smilie....kinda want to use like this

11.6 in full weight car------->

Oh yeah I dont get mad when people get off topic on my threads.....I believe in hijacking....people are looking at certain threads and not others, and i want their opinion......solution = hijack....just do it politely.

thanks,

pride

Thanks, yeah there's some weight reduction but it's not a tin can. All of the interior is still in except for the rear seats. Most has been to offset the safety equipment and heavy duty suspension.
NO: swaybar, HVAC, PS, cruise, lots of shielding and plastic underbody pieces missing.
Tubular K&A arms, Prostars and drag radials.
4.10 gears in a spooled Strange 12 and a 4000rpm Yank pro thruster.

4 bolts and the end links and the SB is gone. I took mine off when I was still street driving mine and never missed it.
3340 pounds with my chubby 250lbs. in the seat.

If you do not want it to be permanently removed you can just remove one of the end links on either side. That way the car can still lift itself but you do not benefit from the 17lbs removed.

I am unsure of what it was on my Camaro but it is 15mm deep socketed on the Stang.

Mike: Your car also has some added weight behind the rear wheels that literally is just wasting space. I will try to dig up the weight removal threads that I have perused.
