american racing TT II's

anyone know anything about the american racing torq thrust II's ? would they be good for using at the track or would they be too heavy ?

Nooo....They are heavy little buggers. Your best off with weld prostars, centerline, bogarts etc. Proven wheels for at the track. TTII are pretty heavy, just bought a set of 4 17x9.5 and 2 17x11 a month ago. They weight more than I thought they would.

I run a set of TTII's on the street.
Very heavy.

I run ProStars at the track though.
Much different feel, but the car is considerably quicker.

ok, cause i am looking for a drag wheel, but i want one that will bolt on right out of the box, i have read that the weld racing wheels need modification to fit on the 93-97 f-body

If you look at the FAQ "stickied" at the top of the Wheels and Tires forum topic listing, it will tell you exactly what you need to do to the 4th Gens to fit Weld wheels (thin spacer in the front, grind off part of the caliper cooling fins in the back). There is also information on the Bogarts, that require no modifications whatsoever.
