Has anyone ever had any problems with this ignition set-up? Stock Opti, MSD 8.5mm wires, NGK TR55IX plugs (stock gap), MSD coil.
Just asking because the other day I had a guy tell me that MSD wires, and NGK plugs together on an LT1 was not a good choice. I was very skeptical, but wanted to see if anyone running this particular set-up experienced any problems.

I don't see what the issue would be. I have run NGK TR-55s with Taylor wires and didn't have any problems. That is with a stock opti and coil too. :shrug:

My car ran better with that set-up,but with stock coil,and stock coil wire.My02

Those are good quality parts, no problem with using them. It's funny how some of these "rumors" get started.

That is the exact set up I use. I love the IX plugs. You will notice a huge difference.

I have the TR55s didnt get the IXs, Accell 8.8 Wires, 6al box, and MSD Blaster Coil and it works like a dream! I have a set of MSDs to be put one when it comes time for another tune up or header burn replacement

I have never heard of this problem??????????? :) I run that setup on my 93Z with no probs......
