2nd fuel pump turn on

Would a RPM activated window switch be a good idea for turning on a second intake pump? if not why? has anyone done this? how were the results?

If it's for a forced induction application, it is best turned on using a boost reference signal. It's not until the motor becomes "pressurized" that there is enough of a demand for additional fuel (from a second pump).
