Here are the pics, I guess one of the rivits initially was loose and over time caused this. Am I going to have to buy a new door?

wow the same thing happend to my 95 when I had never thought I would see another car that had this. My dad and I fixed I wish I had pics to show you but I don't have the car anymore. we had to make a new support for that rivet we bought a metal bar(looks like ruler shaped) from home depot and cut it into two small pieces, and made almost a backwards "L" shaped thing to bring the rivet back to its original position. ha its really hard to explain can't exactly remember how we did it, but it can be fixed.

just for clarification your window won't go all the way up right? it just stops near the top so it looks like its all the way closed, but its just not quite there?

Exactly yes just in the front there's a small gap by the side mirror. I was thinking about something like that did you just drill holes in the fiber to hold it in place. And why an L shape is it for clearance back there it's difficult to see.

One of the rivits and that hook from the regulator are both in bad shape. Probably need two brackets.. was your's as bad as mine?

right we just drilled into the fiber to hold it, and I'm pretty sure we put the supports on the front of the door, and the door panel still fit over it with no problems.

did you just buy the car? because thats what happened to me guy said window motor was dead then when we went to go change we found that.

in your first picture I think that was the one that was bad on mine the others were still ok. oh and im pretty sure we drilled out the rivet and used a nut and bolt to go through our metal supports that we made

No I've had the car for 6 years it's just been down awhile. I replaced the motor w/ my friend (roughly 3 yrs ago) and on the last rivit he broke the gun. I don't know how but he did. Anyways I think it didn't quite go in right which caused this over time. Thanks for your help off to home depo.

Either use a fiberglass patch or attach some metal as already suggested. Gee, those are some of the most out of focus pictures I have seen lately. :D
